1.How does the Laser remove hair? and who is the right person to do laser treatment?
The laser works by a principle called Selective Photo Thermolysis. The laser is pulsed (turned on) for a millisecond emitting a beam of light on to the skin. The light energy passes harmlessly through the skin, but is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle and hair shaft. By absorbing this laser energy, the hair follicles are disabled, impairing their ability to grow. The laser is effective on hair follicles in the active growth phase (anagen).
It’s the Doctors, that too who are trained in Laser Medicine, are the right people to do the laser treatment. Treatments done by Beauticians or Laser Technicians will hardly be effective, as they do not have any required knowledge about the anatomy of the hair follicle nor are they equipped to deal with lasers. In Clinic 2000 the treatments are done by Doctors who have been trained in Harvard in Laser Procedures. Hence the results will be perfect and without any side effects.
2.What Laser is used?
It is the E Plus diode laser. This diode array type of laser system is the only Laser in the World to be approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Authority of USA, which is known for it’s stringent quality controls, tests and specifications it applies before it approves any medicine or medical equipment for human usage) has been approved for permanent hair removal. There is no other laser in the world that can stake a claim for permanent hair removal The E Plus Laser has an 810-nm wavelength light that specifically targets the pigment contained in the hair follicle and shaft. A patented Chill Tip cooling hand piece is incorporated to protect the outer layer of skin. Which decreases the surface temperature and prevents Thermal injury. The cooling tip also provides a mild anesthetic property allowing areas to be treated as painlessly as possible.
3.Is it safe?
The E Plus Laser System was developed from years of research done at the Well man Laboratories of Photo medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard University, Boston, U.S.A. This institute is one of the world’s leading and most respected medical research facilities. The laser parameters were carefully defined to inhibit re growth by studying the anatomy of the hair follicle and matching the laser light and pulse duration to the follicle size, Because not all hairs are in this stage during treatment, additional treatments will be necessary to disable all the hair follicles in the area being treated. Treatments are usually given at intervals of 4-6 weeks, or when new hair growth is noticed. You can discuss your goals with your consultant and they will develop a program based on your goals.
4.Are the results permanent?
Yes, they are.The US FDA has approved the system for permanent hair reduction. This decision was not made lightly, and only after years of reviewing statistical, scientific data on the results obtained with the E Plus Laser system. The European CE also has approved the E Plus Laser for it’s Safety, Painlessness and efficacy in removing the Unwanted hair permanently .This is a claim very few other lasers in the world are allowed to use. Clinic – 2000 is happy to offer the best in hair removal technology.
5.What happens to the skin after treatment?
Within about 30 minutes of treatment, the area may become pink or red. Clients describe it as mild sunburn, this reaction usually subsides within a day or so. Because the laser does not damage the skin, no bandages are necessary. However, if necessary, the doctor may prescribe a topical cream to apply to the treated areas.
6.What should I do after I am treated?
After your treatment, you can return to your normal activities. The treated areas should be handled with care after treatment. Avoid: Retin-A, alpha hydroxy acids, glycolic acids, and astringents. You may clean the area using mild soap and water. You should avoid tanning and use a sunscreen on any treated areas exposed to the sun.
7.What should I expect?
Around 3-10 days after treatment hairs will begin to surface. Most of these hairs were treated and are “falling out” it is not re growth. The hair follicles need to purge the hairs that remained under the skin. Please refrain from waxing, plucking, or bleaching between treatments (shaving is okay).
8.Are all the lasers effective in permanent hair removal ?
NO, Though there are lot of lasers in the world to treat different ailments including the hair removal, But E PLUS LASER IS THE ONLY DIODE LASER IN THE WORLD TO BE APPROVED BY THE FDA and CE FOR PERMANENT HAIR REMOVAL. There is no other laser in the world that can stake a claim for permanent hair removal. The Nd Yag laser that is used usually in Beauty Clinics for hair removal can at the most temporarily stun the growth of the hair , but does not give any permanent hair removal.
9. What about Gray Hair? Can they be removed with this Laser? And how can I begin the Laser Treatment?
Earlier getting rid of Gray hair was indeed a problem, as none of the earlier generation lasers were equipped to treat gray hair. Now we have this E+ Laser that has Radio Frequency added to that which helps in getting rid of Gray Hair as well as Fine hair too.
